 Tip: Test first
If in doubt about a material´s reaction to steam cleaning, always carry out a test first on a small area that is not immediately visible.
This applies particularly to textiles (upholstery, velvet, carpets, etc.) or lether. Do not steam clean velour carpets. Wait until the area tested is dry in order to see if there are any changes in clolour or shape. |

 | 1. In case of stubborn dirt, first clean the tiled surface with the floor tool alone. The scrubbing action of the bristles mechanically removes the encrustations. |
|
| |
 | 2. For everyday maintenance cleaning, or after cleaning as described in 1, fit a cloth to the tool. Fold it, leaving some overlap, then clip it firmly in position. Here we have used a special microfibre cloth, available from KÄRCHER as a optional extra. |

 | 3. After releasing the steam, push the tool briskly backwards and forwards, giving only an occasional burst of steam. In order to get the grouting really clean, move the tool not just across the joints but also diagonally. |
