How does a steam cleaner work?
A steam cleaner works very much like a pressure cooker. Water is heated to boiling point in a sealed boiler to produce steam. This takes between 1 and 6 minutes per litre of water.

Tip: Using warm water obviously speeds up the heating process.

During this process the pressure in the boiler rises to as much as 4.0 bar, depending on the model. The staem can develop better if the tank is not filled to brim, otherwise it will be too wet initially and soak the surface to be cleaned. KÄRCHER steam cleaners comply with all safety standards and have received certification from German and other international testing authorities. All electrically conductive components are splash-water proof.

1. Stainless steel is all the rage - but it only looks good if it is not covered in grease. Flat surfaces are cleaned with the hand tool and a terry cover.

2. If the film of grease has been there for some time, the only way to get rid of it is to keep rubbing and pressing with repeated bursts of steam.

3. The grease accumulates on the cloth, therefore you should use a new cloth after a while.

4. Work over the surface bit by bit, alternating with the tool in one hand and the clean cloth in the other
