Kärcher - OFFICIAL SUPPLIER of Rally Dakar

The winners of this year’s Dakar Rally have been announced. French drivers Stéphane Peterhansel and Jean-Paul Cottret were the overall winners in the car category. After driving more than 9,000 kilometres they crossed the finishing line in the Peruvian capital Lima. It was Stéphane Peterhansel’s tenth win and the first for MINI ALL4 Racing and the X-raid team. Kärcher sponsored the x-raid team for the second time this year.

Kärcher will support the world-famous rally as the official supplier for three years. The cleaning stations that the company installed for the first time this year in several overnight bivouacs in Argentina, Chile and Peru proved very popular with teams. In the course of the race, more than 2,000 rally and service vehicles were given a thorough pressure wash. In Copiapó, Chile, for example, there were three washing bays for cars, two for trucks and ten for motorcycles. Diesel-powered HD 1050 DE pressure washers were used at the 800-square-metre cleaning stations. A fully automatic Kärcher recycling system with a sand filter prepared the washing water for recycling, thereby cutting fresh water consumption by up to 85%. Above all, Kärcher was able to prove the efficiency of its machines in extreme conditions.
