Gruelling World Rally in Argentina
(bke) Despite of malicious conditions the BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally team remains at the top of the manufacturers' standings after the race in Argentina. The drivers Mikki Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Latvala finished the fourth run of the WRC fifth and 15th. First came in Sébastian Loeb (Citroen), followed by Chris Atkinson (Subaru) and Dani Sordo (Citroen).
In the mountains of Traslasierra the drivers had to fight against heavy rain and fog which made the gravel roads slippery. The bad weather did not hold off the estimated 1.5 million spectators of cheering for their favourites alongside the racetrack. Firstly Hirvonen was in lead but then he drove against a boulder and got problems with his wheel suspension. The 27 year old Fin came in on position 25, but finally could gain up to position 5.

The next rally will take place from April 25 until 27 in Jordan.
