Environment protection must never come to a standstill.
All KÄRCHER plants set themselves specific environmental protection goals every year. This goal-setting process is laid down by top management and therefore taken very seriously. Implementation of the goals is carefully monitored. For example the following projects are planned for 2004:
Reduction of water consumption
In machine testing, the closed-circuit system for the test water will be extended. This will contribute to a noticeable reduction of water consumption.
Avoidance of waste
KÄRCHER uses mainly reusable packaging. Extension of the reusable packaging system to include suppliers is aimed at further reducing disposable packaging.
Reduction of emissions
A solar power plant is planned at the KÄRCHER Obersontheim plant for heating industrial water and the degreasing baths. Heat recovery in production at the Winnenden plant will be further expanded. Both these projects will make a positive contribution to climate protection by reducing emissions.
