Accessibility Statement

Digital Accessibility Statement for EAA (European Accessibility Act)

Our Commitment

At Kärcher, we continuously strive to ensure that our digital platforms are welcoming, usable, and accessible for all visitors, including users navigating with assistive technologies.

Ongoing Efforts & Technical Standards

Our digital e-commerce platform is continuously developed and optimized using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Conformance Level AA as our primary reference benchmark.

Compliance Status

This online shop is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.

Areas Under Optimization

While we constantly improve our online shop, you may encounter temporary limitations in these areas. Because several of these features rely on external third-party software, they are currently outside our direct technical remediation scope, but we are actively working with our providers to implement fixes.

  • Checkout & Payment: Certain checkout steps run through third-party providers and may have limited keyboard or screen reader compatibility. We have notified our provider to initiate fixes. Please contact our support team if you need help safely placing an order.
  • Product Finders & Spare Parts: Interactive accessory and spare-part finders rely on an external database that is being gradually upgraded. Exploded views within our spare parts finder lack descriptive alternative text and some areas of the spare part database and Product finder may not be fully navigable via keyboard. Our technical team is available to help you identify or order parts manually.
  • Service & Return Modules: Embedded service requests (ROCK) and return modules (RRM) are hosted externally and may present navigation hurdles. Contact our customer service team to submit these requests directly on your behalf.
  • User Generated Content: User ratings and user-generated content galleries run through a third party provider (Bazaarvoice) and may show limitations regarding keyboard focus and alternative texts. We have notified our provider to initiate fixes. Please reach out to customer service if you need assistance.
  • Pop-ups & Location Maps: Marketing overlays and Google Maps store finders can be difficult to navigate via screen readers or keyboards. Contact support to bypass overlays or to find a local retailer manually.
  • PDF Downloads: Legacy user manuals and safety data sheets may not be fully readable by assistive software. New files are built to be accessible, and we provide alternative formats for older files upon request.
